INGO

Ingo has been "gone" in physical presence for a year now, passing away 8/18/2011. We miss him dearly and as with each of the original 3 wolves Wolf Timbers' had the honor and privilege to care for, Ingo shall never be forgotten and shall always be remembered as an ambassador to all free-ranging wolves and endangered species. With a little patience, understanding and knowledge, humans can coexist with all living things on this Earth. Ingo taught many of us this fact. All living things on earth need respect, care, nuturing, a safe place to call "home" and protection from the elements.

Ingo, just because your physical presence is no longer visualized at Wolf Timbers, your spirit is still here and is felt by all that loved you. I believe that if powerful enough, there is a connection that is maintained between a physical presence and an spiritual presence. Perhaps this is what happened on the evening of the 16 of this month when, very close to the house, coyotes were heard howling. I shall never forget Ingo responding to the howls of coyotes in the area when he was here in the physical sense. He would hop up on one of the platforms and respond to the coyotes by howling in all four directions, turning to his left after each howl and repeating this three times making a complete revolution around the four sides of the platform.

I responded to the coyotes by howling. Rest in peace Ingo. You shall forever be remembered.
