Wolf Timbers News February 2006 update

One of the changes made this year (2006) at Wolf Timbers is the addition of a port-a potty which will be available during the entire open season. We hope that this will make your visit more enjoyable and entice our visitors to stay longer.

We have also had the property logged out. Therefore, you may see the results of the logging operation when you visit. While we understand some concerns others my have with logging, here in Ohio, logging actually encourages and promotes a healthier forest. Additionally, with the undergrowth that follows a logging operation, more cover, food and suitable habitat are available for a wider range of animals. Trees that were or suspected of being den trees and trees that have been known or suspected of being nests for bats, squirrels or other tree dwellers have been preserved. The logging operation also paves the way for an enclosure expansion in that the larger trees have been removed which decreases the potential for damage to the fencing.
