Ingo
Was born April 22, 1999 at Wolf Park to Seneca and Karin, then the alpha pair.

He came to live at Wolf Timbers August 8, 1999 and has grown up to be quite an attractive wolf, weighing in recently at around 100 pounds.

Now that he is an adolescent, his life has changed just a bit. The freebie meals and special puppy privileges are not his for the asking anymore. Ingo is slowly learning his place in the Wolf Timbers pack, but it has been a hard lesson for him. Ingo has been feeling the urge to expand his social freedom and take whatever advantage he can over Keeley and Nira. For the first few months of 2000, Nira let Ingo have his fun. However, as we entered July, August and September, Ingo has been getting in deep trouble with Nira. It seems that Ingo does not want to submit to Nira - a ritual that Keeley displays so readily to Nira. Within the past few weeks (late August and early September), we have witnessed Nira's resolve to maintain his alpha status over Ingo. Nira has been chasing Ingo at times when Ingo misbehaves. After what seemed like forever, Ingo finally understands how pack life works (at least we hope). But even through the grumblings handed out by Nira, Ingo still maintains his relaxed attitude. Many days will find him lounging around the enclosure watching the world through amber eyes. On days when Wolf Timbers is open to the public, he will be one of the first to great visitors.

Ingo has been a wonderful addition to the pack at Wolf Timbers. We know he will continue to be a favorite with everyone who has the chance to visit him.

On February 10, 2002 I had a wonderful visit with the Wolf Timber's pack. It was a drizzly overcast day, but using my Nikon D1x digital camera, I was able to capture quite a few photos of the wolves. Here I will share just a few of them.

While updating this site, I also found some older photos that both Marty and I took of Ingo as a pup.
